Dusty Brown First, it wasn't a dog, it is a Pit Bull which should never be loose and unmuzzled in public. Other people may have real dogs at that game too. There was no kick, it was a block. The Pit appears to be playing. Yesterday at 3:45am · Like · 5

I wanted some other people's take on what's going on here. Is the dog aggressive or playing? Did the dog want to attack and the girls were just smart enough to shove their gloves in its mouth, or did it just want the gloves? I see the tail is erect and sometimes wagging quickly, which is what they do when they're attacking.
Either way, I don't think it's cute at all. frown emoticon Not one negative comment about the dog, either. A couple of negative comments about the woman who put her leg out to deflect the dog, and really out of proportion to what she did. Calling her a moron, a biatch, etc., and one idiot called it a "kick." Just wow.
A dog runs onto the field during a softball game, and hilarity ensues when he decides to make his own fun!

  • Sabra Steele He attacked the gloves. He might have been playing but he literally snatched the gloves off the girls
  • Christi Himes I don't personally see anything wrong that happened here besides obviously the dog is loose. She most definitely didn't kick it, and I would have done the same. It could have been so much worse if the pit was having a trigger sort of day.
  • Viv Smitt It probably thought it was running away with someone's real hand.
  • Sarrah Jines Why was that thing loose? The one woman in the white visor was not amused..plus she didnt trust the dog..she used the side of her leg to push it away from her a couple times..Its hard to tell if the thing was being aggressive or not because they wag their tails when they maul too.

  • Christy Cornell Definitely playing, but slightly disrespectful. I wouldn't be surprised if this dog doesn't run the household and breaking away from its owner like that is probably par for the course. Probably doesn't have good recall either. Anyone with a powerful dog like a pitbull should keep the dog at a calmer state when they are playing like this. I have big dogs and we all play fetch, and they play keep away with each other, but I don't allow them to grab stuff from me without permission.

This wouldn't have been so cute if the girls would have been younger, and smaller.
  • Elizabeth Bennet What is disturbing is that the dog is not afraid of the people at all. A normal dog approaches strange people or other dogs using social body language, maybe wagging its tail or putting its ears down to show that it is friendly. This dog totally disreg...See More

  • Lucy Muir Often an attack is play for a pit bull. That's what is so scary. It could have happily and playfully decided to attack.
  • Dan Saeger Lots of dogs would do this, only problem is this is a pit bull.
  • Sabra Steele Lots of dogs would run up to a total stranger and take something off of their hand like that? That is total lack of manners and dangerous even in play. I don't see many dogs doing that. They may come up wanting something but they dont normally run snatching things from people.

  • Viv Smitt This is why we need to recategorized this animal out of domesticated dog. Sometimes I think that would be easier than BSL.

  • Viv Smitt What would people's reaction be of that was a lion or even a coyote?

  • Gwendolyn Hanan What that dog did, rank and temperament wise, would be the same as if you were sitting in your living room reading a book and the 17 year old son of some neighbors you don't know well, busted through your closed front door and came running into your house, forcefully yanked the book out of your hands and ran around your house with it and grabbed other items off shelves and tables as he did so.

The behavior is unacceptable IN ANY DOG because the dog is placing itself as dominant over the human and taking, forcefully, from the human and not relinquishing upon command. In a pit bull it is dangerous and leading to more dangerous.

Luckily that woman was very clear she didn't like the behavior and was not afraid or hesitant with the dog, he dropped the item and left , IMO that proves he was testing for dominance and when confronted,,,, backed off. That will not last long. If he does this to some child and the child refuses to let go of what ever it is the pit is trying to take, .....................................................................
The owner of the dog should be made to buy each of those women a new glove, they are not cheap and the dog should be humanely euthed.
