This is preposterous. Insurance companies are not in business to lose $. Actuarial data shows that certain types of dogs cause more damage. All this does is forces all insured people to pay higher premiums.

Making them cover pit bulls etc is one thing. Making them charge the same rate as for normal dogs is something else. If they have to do that, the premiums for everyone will have to go up to cover the pit types.
